General Description:
Provide air quality analysis, modeling, analysis of model output, and preparation of air quality assessments to be used in environmental documents.

Qualifications:
A combination of education and experience which provides the requested knowledge and skills to effectively fill this position. Typical qualifications include, or are equivalent to:
•BS/MS degree(s) in Meteorology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Science (Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics), Geography, or a related field as demonstrated by actual course work.
•Approximately 2 years experience in air quality assessments.
•Experience using United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) air dispersion models, including ISC3 and AERMOD; and air quality models accepted for use in California including URBEMIS, EMFAC, and Caline4.
•Experience in human health risk assessments is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

General Description:

General Description:

Qualifications:

Sr. Project Manager/Sr. Regulatory Permitting Specialist

Locations:

General Description

Services client accounts relative to regulatory requirements of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, California Department of Fish and Game, Regional Water Quality Control Board, and other state and federal agencies. Obtains or manages specialists in obtaining information needed to determine agency jurisdiction, complete permit applications, define mitigation options, and respond to agency concerns/comments. Prepares or manages the preparation of development constraints analyses, jurisdictional reports, develops Conceptual Mitigation Plans, endangered species biological assessments, environmental assessments, 404(b)(1) alternatives analyses, environmental impact statements, and permit applications (especially for Section 404 permits and Section 1601/1603 agreements). Acts as liaison between resource agencies and client. Keeps client informed of, and involved in, regulatory process. Maintains personal knowledge of changing state and federal regulations and assists in training other MBA staff in such knowledge. Responsible for proactive business development and marketing activities. Provide training to technical staff for professional growth.

Qualifications:

•Minimum of three years experience with a regulatory or permitting arm of the USACE, at a GS-11 level or higher, OR minimum of five years experience obtaining regulatory clearance through USACE for both public and private applicants.
•Minimum B.S. or B.A. in one of the environmental sciences, preferably biology.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•Comprehensive knowledge of, and practical experience in application of USACE regulations (33 CFR Parts 320-330) and policy dealing with the USACE regulatory program.
