AEP's "Professional Achievement Award" presented to MBA's Michael Hendrix
The Association of Environmental Professionals' "Professional Achievement Award" has been presented to MBAs Michael Hendrix, one of the Inland Empires leading Air Quality scientists, at their annual awards banquet held at the Riverside Art Museum on January 24, 2007. Mr. Hendrix recently implemented an innovative Air Quality Mitigation and Fugitive Dust Control Plan program for projects that provide comprehensive air pollutant reduction measures throughout the life of a project, while also documenting the daily execution of these reduction measures. The Association specifically recognized that his commitment to balancing the development of the Inland Empire with the reduction of air pollution is evident through his dedication to air quality evaluations and mitigation that significantly reduce air pollution generated by the expansion of residential, commercial and industrial markets. Mr. Hendrix is an active member of numerous environmental organizations and a popular speaker at industry events statewide on the topic of air quality. He has also volunteered significant time training City of San Bernardino Planners in the appropriate use of air quality evaluations and effective mitigation measures that can be incorporated into projects to further reduce air pollution.
"The City of Bakersfield has established a long-term relationship with MBA as environmental consultants. They have successfully completed more than a dozen important environmental documents on schedule and within the budget. All important projects involve a certain degree of problem solving specific to that project. MBA has consistently demonstrated a high level of innovation in finding the solutions."
